One of the chicest buildings in Hirafu, The Barn is a restaurant and bar with new beginnings and a new chef. What is not new are the familiar and friendly faces gracing the floor, bar and kitchen.

Wild Bill's owners Brett and Takayo have taken over the Barn and brought with them a chef well known to most locals as the man behind Le Cochon in Kutchan.

Kaz trained in Tokyo and then in France honing his skills and his food truly reflects the values of French cuisine by using all parts of the animal, rich sauces, seasonal vegetables and exquisite flavours.

The glass fronted building, designed to extract memories of countryside barns in France, has a mezzanine bar overlooking the restaurant serving cocktails, fine wine and top shelf spirits and is the perfect village location for après-ski even if not dining below.

Open 7 days during winter from 6.00pm to midnight and during summer from Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and weekends for dinner
